Paying it forward.

When i moved, and when i had a baby, people i didn’t know brought me food.  And i never forgot it.

So, this family moved in about four houses away at the start of the school year…AND they have a 6 week old baby.  Both of our children have become friends and play on the playground at school everyday together.

This calls for “Paying it Forward.”

I made the family of five and their visiting relatives a large baked ziti using homemade marinara. I brought it over with a fresh veggie garden salad, Italian bread, butter, red wine and dark chocolate.

I made the same dinner for my family and we ate outside for the first time in months.  The only light came from numerous candles and a full moon.

After we enjoyed our dinner and went back inside, i found a nice text on my phone from the mom down the street.  It read, “Dinner was amazing!! Thanks again so much!!”

It feels good to give back.
